This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) establishes guidelines for authorized and prohibited use of BindPilot AI by licensed insurance agencies and their users. Violation of this AUP may result in account suspension or termination, mandatory fraud reporting, and potential legal liability.
This policy applies to:
Insurance agency administrators and authorized users;
Policyholder data submitted to the platform;
Use of integrated carrier APIs and quoting functions;
All activities performed within BindPilot AI or related to the Service.
2. Permitted Use
BindPilot AI is designed exclusively for licensed insurance professionals. Permitted uses include:
Submitting legitimate insurance quote requests on behalf of real policyholder prospects;
Managing agency workflows, renewals, and client communications;
Using AI-powered tools to compare carrier offerings and optimize placement;
Accessing documentation, training materials, and support resources.
3. Prohibited Activities
You may not use BindPilot AI to:
Fraudulent quoting: Submit fictitious applications, fabricate policyholder data, or manipulate quote parameters to obtain deceptive pricing;
Rate manipulation: Systematically probe carrier APIs to reverse- engineer rating algorithms or underwriting criteria;
Data harvesting: Scrape, export, or bulk-extract carrier rate data, appetite guides, or proprietary platform content;
Unauthorized access: Attempt to access other tenants’ data, bypass access controls, or exploit security vulnerabilities;
Credential sharing: Share login credentials with unlicensed individuals or allow unauthorized persons to use the platform;
Competitive misuse: Use BindPilot AI to build a competing product or service;
Regulatory violations: Use the platform in any manner that violates federal or state insurance regulations, data privacy laws, or anti-discrimination statutes.
4. Data Handling Requirements
You must obtain appropriate consent from policyholders before entering their personal information. You are responsible for the accuracy of data submitted. You must not store or transmit policyholder Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other highly sensitive data through the platform unless specifically supported by an authorized feature.
5. API & Integration Use
If you access the BindPilot API, you must comply with rate limits, authentication requirements, and data handling standards. Automated scripts must identify themselves via User-Agent headers. You may not use API access to circumvent subscription quotas.
6. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations. Depending on severity, we may:
Issue a warning and request corrective action;
Temporarily suspend account access;
Permanently terminate the account;
Report suspected fraud to the relevant state Department of Insurance or law enforcement.
7. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it immediately to matt@bindpilot.ai.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect.
